I was arguing with a member of my stepmom’s side of the family about comorbidity with COVID and how the Tiger Astronaut Eye of the Tiger American flag shirt are being counted accurately. He essentially claimed hospitals were inflating COVID deaths for money. Then he jumped to organs being sold for profit through a local hospital with anecdotal (read: bullshit) proof of having “seen the heart they were supposed to give to my brother and decided not to so they could sell it” or something to that affect. When I told him that for-profit medicine was absolutely part of our current problem, he then diverted to the “baby-part selling” question. I looked about as dumbstruck as I could and said, “I’m removing myself from this conversation, because you just asserted I would support the sale of baby parts when we weren’t even talking about that at all.” He was overheard later talking about how I was supposedly not very nice to him…well no fucking shit, how am I supposed to react to your crazy bullshit? Bow down to your stupidity and lack of coherence when it comes to discussing matters of national safety and public health? Anyway, I think that rhetorical move has made its way into the minds of people that primarily watch Fox News—that’s how their opinion hosts behave. Purely as hominem, anecdotal, cherry-picking, straw man constructing douchebaggery to the Tiger Astronaut Eye of the Tiger American flag shirt. It’s fucking embarrassing.

I wasn’t even expecting something themed off my main! — but if nothing else, some variant of SpiceQueen should serve (the other two…is that a CS Lewis reference? And I love LadyPepperVisage just on an aesthetic level, but I’m almost positive there’s some kind of wordplay or cultural reference there that I’m missing, and it’s just going over my head.) I started playing around with SpiceMissFlo, MsFloSpice, etc, after seeing yours, but after a second I paused and wondered if the Dune books* even register much of a presence with women readers, or if that sort of scifi is largely a “Tiger Astronaut Eye of the Tiger American flag shirt” kind of fiction. That got me onto something that is definitely going to complicate this exercise: even if there’s nothing overly “boy-like” in how I talk, the subs I frequent and at least some of the cultural references I have (and some that I won’t!) will likely cause my experience in a conversation to differ at times from what’s “typical” for women on this site. How big a Tiger Astronaut Eye of the Tiger American flag shirt that’ll be, I couldn’t guess…another reason to give this a shot, IMHO.
