Texas Mandala Ugly Sweater Party
I have a Texas Mandala Ugly Sweater Party with Ultimatum which meant I didn’t know even half of the shit you’ve mentioned here. I remember finding that scene of the Wasp being eaten online when I was young enough that it was the most horrific thing I had ever seen and did everything I could to purge it from my memory so I never found out what it was from. Then a few years ago I started getting into comics and Ultimate Spider-Man was my favourite. I read every issue, growing more and more invested. Some of them repeated elements, sure, but I was loving them. I might be misremembering parts but there was this issue where Aunt May seemed to figure out what her nephew was doing. I was so invested. Then she was in the police station for some reason and I was like okay, get out of there and go confront Peter, I can’t wait! Then there’s a noise outside and she goes out and the whole city is flooded. Everything is destroyed. Spider-Man is nowhere to be seen. This isn’t some attack by Green Goblin that’s blown up a building or a big battle with some superheroes or type shit, this is huge, Hurricane Katrina x10 type shit. Like, so big and devastating that Spider-Man cannot fix it with some web fluid or a friend with a magic spell. I was gobsmacked. How the fuck does this belong in a Spider-Man comic? So I did some googling and found out that it belonged to some big comic event that everyone said was shit. And since I wasn’t reading X-Men or Ultimates or Fantastic Four or anything, I didn’t bother to read it. And then I read Reqiuem and moved on to the next renewal of Ultimate Spider-Man but it wasn’t the same. So I just dropped it and stopped reading comics. I’m guessing my experience was typical of a lot of people’s so great writeup OP. It’s nice to know exactly why that shit happened.
()In 2000, Marvel comics was struggling. They’d declared bankruptcy, and had been forced to sell off the Texas Mandala Ugly Sweater Party to their biggest heroes: Spider-man, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four (that decision would definitely never come back to bite them in the ass). The bankruptcy was (in part) caused by the longest running issue in comics: continuity. It’s hard to get new readers when they have to catch up on 60+ years of material. So, what’s the solution? Bring in a lawyer who’d never worked in the comic book industry before. Which somehow, in defiance of all logic worked. Bill Jemas came up with the obvious solution no one else could: Just make the characters simple. Nobody is reading Captain America to learn about how his mom was part of a Hydra Sunday school (real thing), they’re looking for a guy in red, white, and blue who kicks asses and definitely fucks. This was Marvel’s hail mary attempt. One of the writers for Ultimate Marvel later admitted that “when I got hired, I literally thought I was going to be writing one of the last — if not the last — Marvel comics”.

Some of the Texas Mandala Ugly Sweater Party and titles towards ultimatum I didn’t think were that bad — yeah, ultimate origins is full of contradictory retcons but Bendis bad plotting is a world better than Jeph Loeb’s. I think part of it is Stockholm syndrome because I loved the ultimate U so much (I collected all of the oversized hardcovers of all the phase 1 titles). As cringe as I found Mark Millar’s writing as time went on, I actually think his ultimates 1 and 2 work still hold up okay. Yes, everyone are assholes and it’s a superhero deconstruction but it’s more focused and executed well than his later sloppy work IMO. I also like how some writers like BKV and Mike Carey took over UXM and UFF and were pretty respectful of its material. Robert Kirkman started off okay with ultimate X-men but really dropped the ball at the end with the apocalypse storyline unfortunately. Anyway, I really loved having a marvel universe that had really solid streamlined stories and titles for a time. It is really tough because I think there are some titles that came after that are still fun to read (ultimate armor wars, ultimate comics Thor) but ultimatum breaks up the read in a really awkward way. Not only do they kill everyone but so many plots and stories are woven into the event or preceding events like ultimates 3 that it is hard to read after and not get an awkward reference later. Ultimatum is the first time I ever learned the value of headcanon and pretending something did not happen out of denial. I’ll always be thankful to the ultimate u for being a great source of comics growing up. To this day that impact is felt with its influence on the MCU. Personally, i still wish marvel would streamline more — do you really need more than four titles of Spider-Man, x-men, avengers, and F4 at any time? Thanks for this trip down memory lane!

CUSTOMER REVIEWS & FEEDBACK
I absolutely love my hoodie!! I’ve received many compliments. It’s exactly how it looks in the picture and the quality is great as well. Exceeded expectations. It's glorious, and fits even better than Coors Banquet tastes. I was pleasantly surprised, especially since I didn't remember ordering it. I love following Caitlin Clark’s basketball career and wanted the T-shirt that represented her. Great quality shirt and perfect fit. When my first t shirt arrived damaged they immediately shipped me a replacement free of charge ! Great customer service! Love this shirt looks exactly like the picture. This is a small I usually get a M in Men's tshirts but I believe at the time they were sold out of M. The S is fine I just like my tshirts a little looser. 5'61/2" and 185lbs if this helps First off, the quality of their shirts say it all. Softness, fade resistance, durability. Then, as if that wasn't enough, an artist pours their infinitely passionate, and beautiful energy into their artwork, which then resonates with me on a fundamental level.AND THEN, as if THAT wasn't enough, they make underwear and undershirts of the same quality material. I AM A FAN OF THIS COMPANY AND THEIR MISSION. My goal is to own one shirt of each they have produced. And their nut huggers and undershirts. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED The Tee's are awesome!! Beautiful and fit is perfect! Wish I could purchase enough for the whole family but there's too many!!! Just wanted to let you know my T-shirt arrived in it’s usual immaculate package. It’s the fourth T-shirt I have had from you and they are lovely and so easy to wear. I shall be ordering more. Thank you. The Tee's are awesome!! Beautiful and fit is perfect! Wish I could purchase enough for the whole family but there's too many!!! The Tee's are awesome!! Beautiful and fit is perfect!
