I’d be surprised if Michigan blows out this Penn State team, though I’d also be surprised to see the away team win. The game is not one sided, and both teams have momentum at different points, but ultimately a combination of home field advantage, Michigan’s talent edge on offensive, and Frames Janklin’s in game coaching allows Michigan to pull ahead and they win something like 24 – 13. If I’m wrong it’s probably because PSU is either murdering our linebackers, our backup RT is a turnstyle, or because things get weird with turnovers/redzone roulette/injuries. Would be very happy to hear a PSU fan’s take on my prediction, let me know if any of you see a major flaw in my analysis.

Ferentz never really shows his full hand in the offseason. We played a base 4-3 all game against NT. I expect us to throw a few more blitzes and the “RADAR” package against PSU to get more pressure. Also we finally benched Gervase and will be starting Hooker at FS. Gervase was flat out terrible all three games. Also, Jackson looked a lot better against NT, with the caveat that it is North Texas. Also we have a real life offense this year so even if they do score we can potentially strike back. All of this combined means I’ve talked myself into us having a chance. That’s a bad thing, we always lose after that happens. Against you all last year I figured we didn’t have a shot and we pulled it out.
