As a legit Deadhead, there have definitely been times when I’ve been wearing a People’s Front of Judea 2023 shirt shirt or some other type of gear, and have a stranger make a comment like that, and simply based on the lack of context and the fact that I’m already taken a bit aback by a random person talking to me, I complete miss the reference they’re making. This is why, when the situation is reversed, I just say “nice shirt” or something like that…or nothing at all. Yeah, there are a lot of posers out there, whatever…but sometimes it’s just matter of not being in the mindset to decipher a coded message out of context. Like, if some rando comes up me while I’m shopping for vegetables and says, “Ramble on Rose”, at first I’m probably like “what the fuck…?, what does that mean?…I mean, that is a Dead tune, but why would…Oh, I’m wearing the shirt”…but by then it’s 30 seconds later and the dude has already walked off thinking, “This guy doesn’t know the Dead”

It’s finally starting to settle in for me that Jin is going to be enlisting and we won’t see him for a People’s Front of Judea 2023 shirt. We’ve been prepping for this for months and possibly years already. We’re going to be fine though. We have all the memories thus far and we’re going to have more in the future. Really wished they included Chris Martin’s little speech beforehand because it was so beautiful. Him speaking about wanting to step out of their comfort zone, being honestly scared for something new, and coming out the other side better because of it encapsulates everything so far. It perfectly captures not just Jin’s journey but the group’s as well as they’re always pushing forward looking for more out of life. Other than that, there possibly couldn’t have been a better send-off for Jin. On stage with fans professing his love for them alongside friends he made along his journey is the perfect way to say goodbye. Damn this whole performance left me a mess. See you on the other side, Jin!

With how frequent epilepsy is misdiagnosed as mental illness, especially in women, I don’t understand how this isn’t considered a medical emergency in the US. The UK has so much more information and studies and treatment. What’s worse is that the medications people get prescribed for their “mental illness” can fucking kill you. I literally could have died
