And that’s what the Ultimate universe had become. As the mainline universe caught up with the Ultimate one in depicting more mature and interesting storylines, the Ultimate universe just became a big nothing. Smaller in scope and with lame “twists” on pre-existing characters that just ended up being boring and made you wish you were reading the mainline universe. Ultimate Sinister was the last Ultimate X-Men story I read and not once was I ever curious about the where the series went after that.
