It had this painful need to be so contemporary and edgy and grimdark for the sake of it. The characters were so bleak and unlikeable and every part of it seemed to be full of these “aren’t superheroes stupid” hottakes that was so antiethical to the whole concept. In many ways, Ultimatum was the ultimate (heh) end product of that process; a mean-spirited, cynical exercise in grim excesses and killing characters for the sake of it. Every panel is shock value to the point where it loses all meaning. Everyone is awful. Nobody is even remotely heroic or even likeable. When you look back at it, the early years of the MCU were clearly intended to be more Ultimate Universe in concept then ‘classic’ Marvel universe. It’s also clear that they quickly backed down from that idea. Thanks for a thorough write-up of the mess and the mess behind it. You’re a lot braver than I.

Burn has its unique taste indeed, when i was in hungary they had it in 3 different tastes: the regular, a blue variant and a pink one. In belgium i’ve only seen the regular one though. They all had a different taste but i’d say burn in general is more fruity. I think they stopped selling burn in belgium because i cant find it in any supermarket anymore 🙁 Monster is widely available in europe and is distributed by coca cola if i’m correct. All monsters have a different taste and there’s no comparable drink in taste. Recently they took away the khaos version from the shelves, cant seem to find it anymore. We have the regular, zero, assault, doctor, ripper and rehab if i didnt forget any. Pricewise, burn and nalu (both cocacola owned) cost about 1.15€ for 25cl in belgium. Monster costs about 1.25€ but comes in 0.5l instead of 0.25liters so its cheaper. They all have the same amout of caffeine which is the maximum allowed 32mg/100ml in europe. And ofcourse there’s the expensive redbull with its unique taste

Rant time: I’m 6’4 and 160lb (156lb actually but round up so people don’t think I’m a skeleton) as well, and god damn is it hard to find anything that fits. I’ve actually bought a Notre Dame Fighting Irish Ho Ho Ho 3D Print Christmas Wool Sweater, Ugly Sweater, Christmas Sweaters, Hoodie, Sweater t-shirt from Son Of A Tailor that takes shrinkage into account because I was so utterly sick of trying and returning t-shirts from every brand under the planet. Haven’t received it yet but I can post an update either today or tomorrow when it comes. Besides this, I’m in the UK, and we don’t really have a concept of Tall stores like you do in the States. We have BIG AND TALL stores everywhere, where it basically just means FAT and the TALL part is there to make fat people feel a little better about themselves. I haven’t found any slim fitting tall t-shirts in Europe yet, and if someone finds one that’s cheap as heck, ships to the UK and fits better than a MTM shirt, then drop me a message. ASOS has a Tall section, but with strange designs, poor quality, scratchy and sweaty t-shirts that I don’t have any intention of buying. The biggest problem with being tall and skinny, is that suddenly everything costs MONEY. You spend loads on delivery, ordering stuff back and forth if it doesn’t fit. You have to buy a shirt that only fits in length, then have to take it in EVERYWHERE. You can go MTM, but that’s mostly for business/business casual clothing and doesn’t offer a whole lot for the very casual dresser like me (I’ve found Proper Cloth are really good for flannels/denim shirts though). Add onto this the fact my eczema means I can only wear 100% cotton t-shirts, I end up spending a stupid amount of money just buying a simple t-shirt compared to your average joe. My washing habits are: 30C, low spin cycle, dry on a hanger or on a clothing line. It’s a pain but I’m not touching the dryer with my life. Anyway, to conclude my dude, start saving and get ready to spend $$$ to look good, because we have a weird body shape we have to start branching out in specialist, custom and tailored clothes.
