Also, man, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Christmas For Fans Ugly Christmas Sweater, Sweatshirt, Ugly Sweater, Christmas Sweaters, Hoodie, Sweater got really damn good once they got their ongoing series (the poorly titled Ultimate Comics: Ultimates). This was after a few miniseries released post Ultimatum which were pretty decent. I remember liking the New Ultimates vs Ultimate Avengers one, though maybe just due to its tie-in with The Death of Spider-Man. But their ongoing releases afterward started really strong, its initial arc being written by Jonathan Hickman (who has since become one of my favorite writers after reading his incredible Avengers/New Avengers saga in 616). This was the arc that reintroduced Ultimate Reed Richards as the villainous The Maker. I don’t know how well or not the character is used nowadays in the main comics as I’ve only read him in this and Secret Wars. But I always thought that despite the atrocious Ultimatum, the comic I would rather forget, being important context to his arc, I loved the way they turned him into a villain, one that really felt naturally like a villainous version of Reed Richards. It just so happens the Ultimate Universe is the one universe in the multiverse where Reed is a villain*, which does make sense if you think about it considering Ultimate Marvel was a more or less edgier version of 616 that just got edgier and edgier over time.

When I heard Boogie called McCaw for his number, I’ve always secretly thought that’s what helped push McCaw out the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Christmas For Fans Ugly Christmas Sweater, Sweatshirt, Ugly Sweater, Christmas Sweaters, Hoodie, Sweater. Pat felt like he was going to establish an identity on the Dubs, almost got his back broken (literally), and then suddenly felt like chopped liver. Understandable. That being said: when you’re a 2-year nobody and an established all star comes to the team, you give the number up. So, no, it’s not really a bad look for the dubs. It’s just the unspoken rule and if someone is up in their feelings about it… I mean what is McCaw going to do, only sign with teams that don’t have a #0 already?

Disappointing for sure. Vikings are exciting, have good fan participation and great team personality. Twins as well. Wild seem to purposefully stifle some of the best aspects of hockey fandom in favor of a family friendly atmosphere. Problem is their idea of family friendly atmosphere is like 30 years outdated. Things have changed, parents aren’t going to stop bringing kids to games because the stadium plays impure satanic music or the crowd chants a swear GASP, or god forbid they see the players in something other than a nice polo and these kids lose their innocence and bite the head off of a bat and start speaking Latin backwards. Just do something FUN, make us care. Crowd chant sucks, un-retire the #1, and make the one eyed Pig’s Eye the scariest mascot in sports.
