They only have the ability to raise dialogue so that people who can change laws (our elected officials) will feel the pressure to do so. In this particular case, this is the NFL players’ biggest stage and opportunity to make such a statement. As long as they are being nonviolent, why should anyone else tell them how to protest? Thanks for engaging in real dialogue, it is one of the most important aspects of our democracy.
