Now that my heart isn’t beating out of Hive Mind I Love Tv Shirt chest as fast, I can tell you and be more thoughtful. I plan on helping as many veterans as I can in my VFW Post get their disability claims approved and help as many people as I can that’s having financial hardship in my family. I’m not the type to sit on my ass and go to shit because of money. I have a Bachelors degree, so I’m an educated Marine. I don’t want to waste what I worked so hard to get working 2 jobs taking care of 3 kids. I founded the local Marine Corps League in my city. When I left the group I started because of the assholes that did nothing but try to cut each other’s throats, it was the fastest growing detachment in the state. I want to encourage veterans to get an education because if I didn’t have an education while I was waiting on the VA to make up their freaking mind, I would have been one of the 22 a day. I just refused to give up! I wrote the White House countless times. I got Nexus letters and Vocational Assessments from state certified psychologists that were over vocational rehabilitation in my city. I moved mountains to get this disability that I should have gotten 10 years ago

What it represents to them is not how the flag is seen in Vietnam today. For most of the Vietnamese who suffered under French colonial rule and the latter wars against the US-led coalition, the flag of the South Vietnamese regime represents the oppression, slavery, humiliation and betrayal of the whole Vietnamese nation. In regards to the Confederate flag, while a number of people who fly it are indeed small-minded and xenophobic and happy to display this openly, others see it as not only a protest against authoritarianism but as a symbol of their ancestory and heritage. Look at our own Eureka flag. The following is from wikipedia: Since the 1854 miner’s revolt, the Eureka Flag, born out of adversity, has gained wider notability in Australian culture as a symbol of democracy, egalitarianism, white nationalism and a general-purpose symbol of protest. How will our own Eureka flag be seen in 100 years time? Or even in 10 years time? As a symbol of protest against government overextending its authority? Or as a symbol of something more sinister, as some have tried to paint it over recent years? Why am I seemingly defending this ? Because I once made the mistake of tearing into an honest man who flew this flag from his truck, a fat-ass, beer-bellied, redneck from the bible-belt (Indianna) who I presumed was a racist piece of shit and treated accordingly. Yes, he knew it would rattle people because they would presume what I had presumed about him. Not saying your neighbor is a humanitarian, he may well be a racist fucktard, purposefully inviting anyone to have a go at him so he can lash out at them. But do yourself a favour, stop speculating over the potential monster across the street and go over there and say g’day. Introduce yourself to your fucking neighbors and straight up ask them, without accusation, what that flag means to them
