Other tabloid outlets have been doing the same thing. Because writing it that way generates a LOT of rage clicks. No one would bat an eye at a statement that goes like: “You go to college, you gain experience in something, you get a job that uses that experience.” But everyone will lose their minds if it was written: “Colleges are exploiting black students and making them complete courses, which earns them a hefty profit.” (And it’s being deliberately obtuse whether it’s the college making a hefty profit or the students in their new jobs are making a hefty profit)
